The 84th annual Academy Awards red carpet was full of hits and misses, and while this year was in my opinion not as fruitful in “best” dresses (view my red carpet best dress from 2011), there were a handful that looked absolutely exquisite . . . beginning with Gwyneth Paltrow. Anyone who is fortunate to wear Tom Ford most certainly is receiving a garment that will draw attention for all the right reasons, but when worn by Gwyneth, the combination is quite impression. Have a look below at my list of the best dressed of 2012’s Oscar Red Carpet. I’d love to know your thoughts and if you believe someone else should have been added to the list.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

Stacey Keebler in Marchesa
Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab
Maria Menounos in Maria Lucia Hohan
Sandra Bullock in Marchesa

I agree with all of these! Except for maybe Sandra Bullock. I love her, and the dress by itself is intricate and beautiful-but I think the top portion does nothing for her (you can notice this on the 2nd photo you posted. My favorite is probably Maria Menounos and Meryl Streep-so perfect and age appropriate!
ReplyDeleteI loved Michelle Williams & Emma Stone - my faves!
ReplyDeleteIf I have to pick just one, then Stacey Keebler had the dress I was more attracted to. Absolutely fluid and she looked wonderful in it!
ReplyDeleteOf course they all looked gorgeous, but that one stood out for me. As for adorableness: Emma Stone "killed" as a presenter. She is so funny!! Love her!

Great shots and very interesting blog. I do find Stacey Keebler in Marchesa dress very sexy and attractive as well. I wonder when she seats down how uncomfortable that bolt can get though...
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with every single one of your picks. Unique, classy, elegant and true to who they are.
ReplyDeleteI love Gwyneth in that gown - so fluid and flawless... But am not too sure about Stacey Keebler. There's something distracting about the floral detail on her hip. Did anyone get a good shot at Princess Charlene of Monaco?
ReplyDeleteMaria Menounos in Maria Lucia Hohan :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is now updated. :)
DeleteCan't believe in some of your choices. They could make it in Worst Dress list. Where's JLo? Why is she not here? She's the Star of that Night.
