A Provençal Sanctuary in Vaucluse

Feb 21, 2019

Home is where we make it, and in the south of France, an old warehouse in Vaucluse was converted into a luxury retreat with the help of interior decorator Nono Girard.

With the combining of Provençal cozy details and contemporary components, it is, as you might guess, the Provençal touches that captured my attention.

The layering of the blues in the bedroom – from the headboard to the linens, the romantic addition of traditional glass candeliers one might find at a brocante, the colored glass dinnerware and the abundance of color, especially the touch of jaune (yellow), even in its small amount, speak of signature touches.

Oh! And do look closely at the table on the terrasse – a green compote! They truly are versatile kitchen ceramic dishes to have on hand year-round.

  1. I love the bedroom. The painting of our Blessed Mother and the statue of her and St Therese are endearing of the faithful in France.
