Decor Inspiration: Beachside Simplicity

A shower with a view, hues that mimic beachside Mother Nature, and a respite away from the hustle and bustle. Designer Rob Southern decorated this Long Island, New York, beach home with the goal of keeping the location at the forefront. Furniture was chosen to not obstruct the views out any window, the fabrics and textures are simple, yet stylish and not meant to compete with the colors seen from the home, and even the shower offers a view of the landscape that may cause for an increase in the water bill.

Kidding aside, the go-to standard Benjamin Moore paints are used throughout, and check out the master bedroom and the silk textured walls – stunning, elegant and oh so luxurious. Enjoy the tour.

  1. What an amazing home! I enjoy home decor images…probably more than fashion. I think a person’s physical environment is important to a person’s well-being. The master bedroom in this house makes me want to run and jump into bed! Yeah, I wouldn’t hate living here!
