Decor Inspiration: A Spanish Foodie Haven

Interior designer Jessica Helgerson of Portland, Oregon, turned an industrial space into a Spanish kitchen to cook, create, relax and converse. A 1926 Mediterranean-style building, the Alhambra Condominiums, offered Helgerson the opportunity to turn the original industrial space into a haven for foodies to come together and perhaps never make it to the dining room (although it looks lovely as well).

Making great use of the space, the rectangular prep table in the middle is stunning and functional, and at the end of the room, the idea to situate a low-backed sofa for reading, relaxing or keeping the cook company while they work their magic is a brilliant idea. Enjoy the tour.

  1. I’m really enjoying these decor inspiration series. Loved last weeks post of the Good Wifes home. Keep it up.
