Luxurious Living in London

Sep 05, 2018

Ample light is a luxurious design detail to incorporate in any space we reside or work, and for interior designer Jane Gowers, she knew she could turn this dilapidated London serendipitious find into something quite luxurious and welcoming. And that she did.

In two years time, the construction and remodeling was complete, and what a beautiful space they have designed. Featured in UK’s House & Garden, from the olive green walls, the French chairs from the 1930s and many other finds from travels around the world, (oh, and we cannot forget the a La Cornue oven which required the floor beneath it to be reinforced in order to hold its weight), be sure to tour the entire home to find endless amounts of luxurious inspiration, just simple and timeless.

I think my favorite room is the sitting room which is adjacent to the terrace garden as it welcomes much natural light from both french door windows and sky light above (image just below). As well, the green settee with matching ottoman would invite me to sit and read the day away.

  1. Stunning. The terrace alone is worth gold…I think I must get this magazine, thank you(once again!) Shannon, for the introduction to another little “happy”. 🙂

  2. Love, love, love every corner and every inch of this home! It’s so elegant and refined. The luxurious chandeliers, furniture (especially this lovely green ottoman, gorgeous) and the beautiful rugs are simply stunning. We’re on the same page when it comes to the sitting room, it’s my favorite too. I love the idea of the French window and the window above that makes it possible to see the sky and stars at night. Seems like a home for a royal family 🙂

  3. Oh my that dining room and bedroom! Love the painting/mural in the dining room. I’m feeling the dark paint colors. Stunning!
