Stripes from Shirtini – My new favorite boyfriend button-up

Mar 12, 2019

A classic button-up has always been something I love, so long as the shoulders are broad enough to enable the sleeves to hit my wrists, and the waist is cut just so to hint at a feminine silhouette.

You may remember in episode #137 of the podcast I shared as the week’s Petit Plaisir, Claridge and King’s boyfriend button-up shirt. Oversized just enough, but still made for a feminine figure, their length is perfect if you want to wear the shirt untucked, and the cotton is top quality.

Well, Shirtini and Claridge and King have paired up, and offer an abundance of stripe boyfriend shirts. And I had the opportunity to receive one.

Their Blue Stripe Boyfriend Shirt (see above and below) is cut with the tapered waist I seek out, and a structured collar should I want to pop it without fuss. The length as well works with skinny jeans or leggings, and in fact, I want to pick up one more just so I can have a sleep shirt.

And I cannot forget to mention the sizing. Make sure you read Shirtini’s sizing notes for their boyfriend shirts as I received a small (something I can NEVER typically wear – I am a medium girl and sometimes large for my broad shoulders), but this small fit me!

But back to the stripes. If you are looking for charcoal (black) or linen in ivory stripes or indigo stripes, you will find what you are looking for as well. Whether in boyfriend or classic length, enjoy sprucing up your spring capsule wardrobe with quality stripe button-up essential tops.

Oh, and one more note about stripes and Shirtini. Be sure to check out the last image I have included at the end of this post. I am loving this new dress that is available in limited quantities for the spring and summer season – a stripe shirt dress. Oh my – Shirtini, you speak TSLL’s language! Thank you!

  1. Dear Shannon,
How does this shirt fit through the upper arms? I am an athlete, and sometimes long-sleeved garments are too tight for me in that area.
    Sincerely,
    Laurene
