The Weekend . . .

Apr 20, 2012

Very much like the Saint Bernard above, I want to set the weekend free and wrap up the work week, oh and to indulge in fresh sweet homemade desserts would be quite lovely as well.

How has your week been? Hopefully productive, as there is so much comfort and sound sleep to be had when we know we’ve given it our best, brought closure to some projects and know there is something to look forward to enjoying as the weekend begins.

This weekend will have me staying home, adding a few finishing touches to my herb garden and basking in what is supposed to be quite warm spring weather.

If your week has been a whirlwind, here is a look back on the blog and what you’ve missed:

  1. I don’t always comment, but I luuuurve reading your blog 🙂

This week you’ve inspired me to start thinking about how I can make life a little more formal to add a touch of glamour 🙂

I love the idea of having classical music playing in the house and I’m wondering, where could I wear heels a little more often? Anyways, you’ve got me thinking about how to enjoy life in important but little ways more often and that’s a good thing.

    Enjoy your weekend,x

  2. I love your thoughts Shannon. Earrings and a scarf always make me feel “finished”

    A beautifully scented lit candle…delightful.

So, this weekend; I am getting together with a friend who is a jewelry designer for lunch and have a birthday party to attend .

I have a $100 Giveaway from Soft Surroundings on my site if you would like to enter!!

The Weekend . . .

Jan 20, 2012

With black and white images that lend themselves to so much more romance and intrigue, I am dreaming of Paris, getting lost in the process of feeling beautiful and the confidence that is awakened when we allow ourselves to be pampered.

Yes, the weekend is here and whether you are dreaming of Paris, like myself, or able to dance along its streets, may we all find the magic that these two days offer up. This past week in the Pacific Northwest have allowed for two snow days which I have lapped up and devoured as it allowed me more time in front of my computer, talking, working and dreaming with all of you.  I hope for you as well, this work week has been exactly as you had hoped it would be.

Here is a look back on the past week on The Simply Luxurious Life:

Well, if you are in the middle of winter’s furry, it sometimes can become frustrating as it can alter plans; however, it can also offer up opportunities, as long as we have the right perspective to see it as such.  With that in mind, have a lovely weekend, and until Monday, bonjour.

The Weekend . . .

May 20, 2011

I feel like the girl in this image – carefree, dancing in a clean house with a sigh of relief that the weekend has arrived and with it an opportunity to strive ahead with all of the might I can muster.

Are you as happy to see the weekend as I am? After sprucing up the yard, sweeping the porch and straightening the house, the next few days are mine, and I tend to revel in every minute.  With some time to sit down and write, some yoga and a new Barefoot Contessa, I will be in my element.
